RSR League welcomes McLaren to iRacing

The largest ever starting field in Red Sox Racing League history, a record forty-one drivers, qualified for the “Gentleman Jim’s Day” at the Daytona Road Course in Daytona Beach, Florida.  The event was held in memory of former RSR member, “Gentleman” Jim Albertson.  Jim’s race number, 67, was retired by the league in a moving ceremony prior to the race.  “Jim was the consummate competitor”, said Jeff Thomas.  “Everyone at RSR has positive memories of their races with Jim, so we thought it was only fitting the league should retire number 67.”  In a further tribute to Gentleman Jim, driver Corey Wolf drove a unique “POW/MIA” paint scheme to mirror the one used by Albertson during his final season of racing.
