Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has thanked Michael Schumacher for his 'gracious' gesture of handing sixth place to Sebastian Vettel at the end of the Brazilian Grand Prix. Schumacher allowed Vettel to make an easy pass on him near the end of the Interlagos race, although seventh would have been sufficient for the Red Bull driver to claim the title regardless with his rival Fernando Alonso only second.

Official: Corvette C7 prototype now available as free DLC for Gran Turismo 5

Two weeks ago, a camouflaged C7 Corvette was spotted as a screen saver during demo mode in Gran Turismo 5. Today, the Corvette C7 Test Prototype can now be downloaded for free from the Playstation Store.

Chevrolet worked with GT5 developer Polyphony Digital to create an authentic version of the test car prototype that is still in the oven as it prepares for a reveal at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, from the wrinkles in the soft cladding to the "specific driving characteristics that are currently being tuned and refined."

It's the closest you'll get to being a genuine test driver, and you'll hear no complaints from us about gaining that experience in one of the most anticipated sports cars ever. There's a press release below that you can read as you fire up the old PlayStation3.

Official: Automoblox unveils three new limited editions including touching tribute truck

Filed under:

It's no secret that the Autoblog staff loves it some Automoblox, and one of the latest limited editions is pulling on our heartstrings. The T900 Jim Hoffman Limited Edition starts as the company's T900 pickup truck, but with an exclusive green-and-gold paint job, the cool toy becomes a tribute to a truck that figured prominently in the history of Automoblox. Patrick Callelo, company founder and designer, says the limited edition was inspired by his father-in-law's Z-71.

"The T900 Jim Hoffman Edition is interesting because the colors were inspired by our very own '95 Chevy Z-71 that has been an integral part of our business since we started. It was the daily driver of my father-in-law. He loved that truck. Right before he died he was bragging to me about his new headers and exhaust. My wife bought it from the estate to remember her father. It's been our work horse ever since."

The Jim Hoffman edition T900 features an "I'd rather be fishing" tailgate decal, is limited to a run of 750 units and for the price of $50 comes in a keepsake box perfect for Christmas gift-giving.

The other two limiteds are the C9-SE and the X9-SE. Both feature Automoblox's first use of brilliant black chrome for the wheels and greenhouse, and both are signed by Callelo. These two are also limited to 750 units and come in a keepsake box. The C9-SE goes for $40, while the larger X9-SE retails for $45.

We've given away Automoblox as part of our holiday sweepstakes for several years now. This year will be no different, and we can reveal that these three limited editions will be a part of this year's prize package.

Official: i3 Coupe Concept continues to evolve BMW's electric aspirations

BMW has unveiled the i3 Coupe Concept ahead of the 2012 LA Auto Show. Like the automaker's other i efforts, the i3 Coupe boasts a carbon fiber body, and an electric motor with a maximum output of 170 horsepower helps shuttle the two-door down the road. Believe it or not, the i3 Coupe Concept puts its 184 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a single-speed transmission. Engineers bolted an array of lithium-ion batteries under the floor to keep the vehicle's center of gravity as low as possible, and the carbon fiber reinforced plastic chassis gives the i3 Coupe Concept plenty of rigidity.

Technically, the new electric concept rides on the same wheelbase as the standard i3, but boast a wider, lower look. BMW says aesthetic tweaks like the raked windshield and gently sloping rear deck are set to become hallmarks of the i3 family.

Inside, the i3 Coupe Concept comes packed with a slew of sustainable materials, including leather, wood and wool, and thanks to the vehicle's packaging, the passenger cabin features an uninterrupted space between the driver and passenger footwell. Likewise, with no transmission tunnel, the cabin appears more open and airy. Check out the full press release below for more information.

Red Bull boss Christian Horner accepts the 'dirty tricks' from rivals that upset Sebastian Vettel so much are simply a consequence of his outfit being so successful. "A lot of people tried to use dirty tricks, certain things that from our point of view that were beyond the limit, and we never got irritated or distracted by that," he said.

Rumormill: Bentley EXP 9 F to be redesigned, renamed Falcon?

Bentley EXP 9 F concept live at Geneva Motor Show reveal

In concept form, the Bentley EXP 9 F had neither the styling nor the name to impress us when we first saw it earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show, and while we already knew some sort of design change was imminent, we're unsurprisingly now hearing that a name change is also in the cards. Automobile Magazine is reporting that the eventual production Bentley SUV will get a complete redesign from what we saw in the EXP 9 F, and it will wear a new name as well: Falcon.

The article says that Luc Donckerwolke, Bentley's newly appointed director of design, is giving the SUV a complete redesign from the concept vehicle, which goes against what we last heard of the vehicle in August that a "radical redesign" was not in the cards. Donckerwolke has been on the design team at various Volkswagen Group automakers since 1992, helping to pen such memorable designs as the Lamborghini Gallardo and Murciélago, but now he is tasked with giving Bentley an SUV worthy of its lineup. Last we heard, the model could go into production in 2015, but there is no indication whether the Falcon will get three-row seating or a plug-in hybrid version as has been previously rumored.

An F1-Themed Rollercoaster Of A Racer That Would Make Mario Himself Proud

There are those of you who have, at one point, played and loved some version of Mario Kart but wished there were a port of it that was playable on your Xbox 360 or Playstation3. This game is for you.

There are also those of you out there who are obsessed with all things having to do with Formula One, especially video games. You pick up each new F1 title as it comes out, follow the season and the championship with close interest, have a favorite driver and a favorite team. This game is for you.

There are even those of you who dig easy-to-play racing games - sort of casually or every once in a while - but wouldn't consider yourself a "racing gamer." This game is for you.

We could continue, but you'll probably get the idea after those first three paragraphs: F1 Race Stars is a game that has broad appeal, largely because it is very entertaining as soon as you pick up a controller. We encourage you to continue reading the rest of this review, but we'll tell you right off the bat that this is one of the coolest little racing games that we've played all year (and we've played quite a few).
