Chris Hoy to make racing debut

Britain's greatest Olympian Sir Chris Hoy will make his motor racing debut at next year's Australian Grand Prix. Hoy, who took his gold medal haul to six at this year's London Olympics and overtook Sir Steve Redgrave's total in the process, will race in the Mazda6 Celebrity Challenge at Melbourne. "As a massive Formula 1 fan this is an incredible opportunity and I can't wait to come down to Melbourne in March next year and race on the Albert Park circuit in the celebrity grand prix," said Hoy, 36.
